T.Boost Relic is a treble booster specifically dedicated to Brian May, the legendary Queen guitarist.
This device wants to replicate the very famous “Orange Label” made for the British guitarist by Pete Cornish in the mid-70s. T.Boost Relic is a tribute to this iconic device: the circuitry is identical, as the rather unique wiring is.
History has given Brian May’s sound the peculiarity of having a lot of handcrafted equipment, either by himself or by direct collaborators as in this case; being his name mainly associated with Queen, it suggests how many times the same equipment has been around the world, living a life of their own and getting old together with the guitarist. The magic of certain objects, which have become real relics, has entered the hearts of fans all over the world.
After the acclaimed Treble Booster series and the flagship product called “Il Lingotto”, Colombo Audio Electronics wants to pay homage once again to the Queen guitarist by offering a hand-aged, relic product. The idea of the design comes from today’s imagination of the same treble booster that has accompanied Brian May in hundreds of live shows all over the world and studio works.
Aging, carried out by hand, with the help of a few chemical components and some mechanical tools is obviously unique for each T.Boost that is produced as it’s impossible to make all the devices aesthetically identical. Not for the electronic parts, made with extreme care following the Orange Label circuit, the reference treble booster.
